YANARTAÞ (CHIMERA)
The Yanartaþ (burning stone), is also known as the
Chimera-the mythical fire-breathing monster slayed by Bellerophan
whilst riding the winged horse Pegasus. There are currently
about 20 vents firing in a small clearing on a hillside.
For optimum effect the flames are viewed at night, andÖztürk
Pension organizes nightly tours by tractor to see the flames.
There is also ruins of a late Byzantine church at the base
of the flames which was built over the original sanctuary
Hephaistos. Tours depart every evening after dinner- don’t
forget your torch!
PHASELIS
Visit the ancient ruins of Phaselis, the winter residence
of Alexander the Great during the early stages of his quest
to Hellenize the world. Enjoy a picnic or trout for lunch
in the cool surrounds of Ulupýnar.
ULUPINAR (HALF DAY)
A mountainous region where you can walk down the ravine
and swim in a rock cut pool after a delicious trout lunch
surrounded by refreshing mountain springs.
GUIDED TREKKING
Olympos is part of Turkey’s first long distance treks,
The Lycian Way—a coastal walk between Antalya and
Fethiye.
Mount Olympos (Tahtalý Dað) is 2.400 m high and
can be climbed in 1 or 2 days with an overnight camp in
the yayla (Sheperd’s pasture).
Another guided trek scales Moses Mountain (Musa Daðý)
and explores a second ancient Olympos hidden high in the
forest.
BLUE VOYAGE TO FETHÝYE (Cruise- 4 days, 3 nights)
Cruise around the coast of Lycia and explore beautiful secluded
coves and ruined cities, with plenty of opportunity for

BOAT TOUR TO PORTO CINIVIZ-SAZAK
View the rugged coastline around Olympos, visiting the private
coves of Connives and Sazak. Watch out for dolphins and
turtles as you swim in the coves or relax over lunch on
the boat.
KEKOVA (SUNKEN CITY) MYRA- CHURCH OF ST NICHOLAS
Transfer by bus to the part of Andriake where a glass bottom
boat takes you to the Sunken City at Kekova Island. Swim
in beautiful Tersane Bay, visit the ruins of Simena, or
climb to the top of the castle for a spectacular view. Relax
over lunch on the boat before returning to Myra where you
can visit the best examples of Lycian rock tombs and an
impressive Roman amphitheatre. Then on to the Church of
St Nicholas (Father Christmas). Return to Olympos or alternatively
you can be dropped at the bus terminal for onward journeys
to Kaþ or Fethiye.
